• Celebrates 10 years of driving regional power industry

In its bid to facilitate the development of renewable and off-grid solutions, Nigeria Energy through its Exhibition and Conferences ventures, will bring some of the most innovative power companies, from conventional power generation through to transmission and distribution and renewable energy and energy consumption and management in the region, from September 19-21 2023, September in Lagos.
The company will also mark its 10th year anniversary as it returns to address the critical challenge of the region’s energy access. Organised by Informa Markets, a leading global exhibitions organizer, the conference themed, “Unlocking new value with reforms, investments and technology”, will bring together government, private sector, and investors to find solutions to the challenges facing Nigeria and West Africa’s electricity sector.
This year’s anniversary edition will present delegates with the unique opportunity to hear, engage, and network with key industry stakeholders within the sector. To celebrate its milestone, the Nigeria Energy Exhibition and Conference, with a focus on addressing the critical challenge of energy access, will feature two impactful conferences including a high-level Leadership Summit and a Technical Seminar.
Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos on Wednesday,Ade Yesufu, the Exhibition Director – Energy portfolio – MEA, Informa Markets, said that Nigeria and West Africa’s Energy sector are currently undergoing a significant transformation, with a strong emphasis on addressing the critical challenge of energy access. Nigeria has abundant natural resources making it capable of improving the country’s electrification rate and achieving its energy goals with the right investment and policies.
“Over the years, the Nigeria Energy Exhibition and Conference has gathered local and international stakeholders to collaborate across the value chain and proffer solutions to the region’s energy challenges. With our 10th anniversary, this 2023 edition will build on past success and offer special high-level seminars targeted at proffering viable mechanisms to solve the challenges in the Energy sector”, Yesufu said.
Key topics at the conference will include; Power sector decentralisation – new legislations and framework in Nigeria, Role of Natural gas as a transition fuel in achieving a net-zero economy, Funding opportunities – Are investments finally moving in?
, Leadership panel: What are the steps taken by DisCos to encourage climate-driven investments?. Others include; Emission trading – New reforms in Africa and Leveraging the power of digital technology to deliver value to customers.
So far, Nigeria Energy 2023 show floor is 100 per cent sold out with several key exhibitors confirmed to participate in this year’s edition.
